Frequently Asked QuestionsReservations | Arrivals | Boarding | Grooming Salon Services ReservationsDo I need to make a reservation? Yes, we recommend that you make a reservation in advance. Reservations for Spring Break, Memorial Day, Summer, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas should be booked well in advance. These are our busiest times and we frequently have a waiting list. We will always do our best to accommodate your needs but a reservation is suggested. May I visit/tour your location in advance? Absolutely! You do not need to make an appointment for a tour. We will be happy to show you around ALL STAR PET RESORT during our normal business hours. Tours are available weekdays 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and 8:00am – 12:00 Noon on Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays. ArrivalsCan I pick up/ drop off on Sunday or after hours? We try and work with our customers and their needs but must also take into consideration our staff. We are open for pick ups or drop offs Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am until 5:30 pm. Saturdays from 8:00 am until 12:30 pm. We are CLOSED on Sundays and all major Holidays. We do not accept "drop offs" or "pick ups" after hours. What do I need to bring with me when checking in my pet? Upon arrival we need to see your pet's vaccine information, clarify your personal details and your pet's current records. We will also verify your personal information including emergency contact and any additional instructions to help ensure your pet's comfort.We provide food, water and comfy blankets. If you wish you may bring your pet's special blanket or toys to help ensure your pet's comfort. What if my pet has fleas or ticks? Our facility is flea-free. Any pet arriving will be inspected for parasites upon "check-in. " If we find fleas or ticks, a bath will be required at your expense. For on-going flea and tick protection, we recommend and offer a low cost Frontline and Advantage flea and tick protection. BoardingCan you give my dog medications? Yes, we administer medications at no extra charge. However, we do ask that you provide "treats" to dispense the medication. We suggest bringing any treat you use at home . The medication has to be in the original labeled container. What do I need to bring for my pet's stay? We provide food, water and comfy blankets. If you wish you may bring your pet's favorite blankets or toys to make their stay that much more enjoyable. What kind of food do you supply? We serve Pedigree dry food. We will follow your feeding instructions. If you want to keep your dog on the same diet, you are welcome to bring your own food. Please have it labeled with your pet's name and feeding instructions. What vaccinations are required? We require current vaccination records: For DOGS, DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvo), Rabies and Bordatella (protection for kennel-cough). For CATS, FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia) and Rabies. Will my dog be in contact with any other dogs? No. For your pet's safety we do not allow the dogs to be in close contact. Your dog or cat will have a private indoor/outdoor run. Can my dogs stay in the same run? Absolutely! Dogs from the same household may stay together; you actually save 50% off the second dog when two dogs board together. A signed waver is required at check in. What is the youngest age for boarding? Your pet must be at least 4 months old and have all required vaccinations. Grooming Salon ServicesDo you offer grooming at the kennel? Yes. As an added convenience to our boarding and non boarding customers, we offer ALL STAR GROOMING, "GROOMING BY LESLIE." Leslie has been in the grooming business for 50 years and can meet any request you may have. We offer a full line of grooming services for both dogs and cats. Baths, sanitary clips, nail clipping, summer cuts, paw pads trimmed, clean ears, comb and brush coats, trim face and eyes and complete haircuts per your request. No appointment is necessary and we have the best prices in town. Phone 310 - 320 - 8799 and ask for Leslie. Departure / Check OutCan I have someone else pick up my pet? Yes, you may have someone pick up your pet as long as we are notified in advance and pre-payment has been made. Please note our hours of operation. What payment methods do you accept? We accept cash, checks, made payable to ALLSTAR PET RESORT, Master Card, Visa or Discover credit cards. We also accept debit cards. Your total invoice must be made prior to the departure of your pet. MiscellaneousDo you have a veterinarian on the premises? No. Should your pet not feel well, we will attempt to contact you, your emergency contact and your veterinarian for instructions. However, if no communication is possible, we will contact our regular daytime veterinarian or our 24 - hour emergency veterinarian, both of whom we are affiliated. Naturally we would notify you and your veterinarian of your pet's situation at the earliest opportunity. Is someone on the premises at night? Yes, we have caretakers on the property 24/7. Do my pets need to be spayed or neutered? No. We do not require that a pet be spayed or neutered for boarding.
